This is so good! I didn’t have chocolate and really wished I’d had. In hindsight, an orange twist might have been ok as a substitute.

I've tweaked this with Irish Whiskey (Tullamore DEW specifically) in place of the scotch (I previously used Lagavulin) and a honey whiskey in place of the regular bourbon. Both versions are great, but the way I've done it dials back the smokiness of the Lagavulin which in my opinion almost took over the drink.

I was not a big fan of peated whisky, but this drink made me one. Now I enjoy peated scotch also neat.
