Actually, looking back over our notes, we finally settled on the following recipe:
30ml Blanco Tequila
15ml Mezcal
15ml Orange Curacao
15ml Midori Green Melon Liqueur
20ml Lime Juice
5ml Agave Syrup
4 drops Margarita Bitters
1 or 2 drops Scrappy's Fire Tincture
Garnish with a lime salt rim and a floated dehydrated lime wheel
This is the one we now offer at our frivolously fun late Sunday afternoon parties. We call it the Mexican Slipper.
And just as an attentive waitress at an Indian restaurant will ask if you prefer your curries spicy hot, medium or mild, when offering this drink one should ask whether your guest perfers her or his Margaritas spicy hot, medium or mild and adjust the drops of tincture accordingly.
