Tried one with Montenegro and one with Averna, and much preferred the Averna version.
It seems like there already is some "green banana" in the Montenegro, and thus the resulting drink is overly banana candy flavored.
Averna's spice pairs exceptionally well with a smokey Laphroaig, in my humble opinion :)
