Thank you for all the information. Do you know what has happened to the Collectif 1806 site. The links to it no longer work. Just give "no found"

Sadly looks like Collectif 1806 is no more so I have removed references and links. Many thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Simon, in case you'd like to add it, I found a link to an archived version of the 1916 1st edition of Hugo R. Ensslin's Recipes for Mixed Drinks. (https://web.archive.org/web/20201029043702/http://www.classicmixology.com/source/recipes_mixed_drinks) Props to classicmixology.com for originally posting this classic online.
