This tastes very Christmasy and holiday to me, I assume because of the bitters and cherry, but it's so good that it should be enjoyed year-round. It is quite boozey so it may not be appropriate for the family dinner, but it would go over very well at the office after-party.

Very spirited indeed, quite sweet too. I made this two times, one with my Brandied cherries (featuring cherry juice, sugar, Maraschino liqueur and brandy) then with the Luxardo Cherry syrup. While I love the Luxardo cherry syrup a lot, for once, I think my brandied cherries with its relative freshness and spirituosness for once, beat the Luxardos.
