Found this a bit overly sweet and missing some flavour. Everything goes together well, but there is not umph in the cocktail. I would decrease the sugar by half and, perhaps, use Anejo tequila to bring the tequila flavours a bit more forward. It is nice, just not special.

Agreed, John. I've knocked the sugar back by a third.
