It scores high visually, but then it falls a bit flat. I used Mrs Better’s for the foam instead of the egg white and maybe that didn’t help, it didn’t have much body and just tasted a bit lacklustre.

Taste a drop of Mrs Better's foamer neat. A few drops of bitters impact a cocktail, and so do such foamers.

For us, this drink has no bridge from the first, quite lackluster and austere, sips to the very enjoyable finale of the Curacao. So we switched in light white rum for the vodka and added 10ml Falernum. An improvement for us but we might revisit the vodka and search for an added liqueur as a bridge and to complement the coconut. A very pretty drink.

The addition of 15ml Davo Plum Aperitivo Bitters to the original vodka-based recipe worked a treat for us.
