Tried again same proportions, smaller quantities (30ml rather 45s) but used triple sec instead of orange juice. Makes me wonder if the phot was done with blue curacao
I've just revisited this recipe as the blue hue in the pic has been troubling me. I can't find notes but I suspect I added blue curaçao to accompany the orange juice so I have reformulated recipe to include blue curaçao.

If it wasn't for the photo I'd say Blue Mountain wasn't a reference to the drink's colour but to the Blue Mountains in Jamaica that are noted for coffee.
I had a few clementines so used those as well as an orange and it was absolutely delicious. Would be a fabulous breakfast cocktail for an indulgent treat - not too sweet and just the right amount of caffeine kick.

Love it. It kind of reminds me of a soft milk toffee. I do wonder why the photo gets a blue color; maybe I was missing something?
