Looks great and, with the citrus freshness of kumquat combined with the oily character of grappa, it also tastes great

This was very good. Didn't have any kumquats so we used the juice of 1/2 a ruby grapefruit with a little of the diced zest to muddle. Did use 1/2 the amount of sugar syrup. It was a little on the sweet side, but a very good before dinner drink.
