Delicious - the walnut liqueur and chartreuse work wonderfully together.

Sophisicated. I replaced cognac with Metaxa and it’s fit perfect

What is the effect of the Chartreuse burn? Presumably it releases some alcohol and warms the glass. But beyond that is it pure theatrics or ritual? Or is the taste of the Chartreuse modified? Anyway, the perfect drink over which to contemplate the idiocies committed during one's life and conclude that, after all, little lasting harm was done. And over a second drink one might imagine the angels concurring, in their benevolence.

Had this as an after-dinner drink on Valentine's Day and it was absolutely perfect. Warm and the flavours were unbelievable. Will make this again, but may try other nut liqueurs. Outstanding.
