Made ours with Cinzano red vermouth and liked it. We also tried Adi Cha's suggestion of adding a splash of Laphroaig but we felt it masked the Mezcal flavor, even with half a teaspoon.

Ahhh I would drink this pretty regularly... Or it would at least be my go to swill if I was nearing the end of any of these bottles. Smoky enough; doesn't need no rabarbaro... Seems like a familiar recipe...
