Continuing on with my Mezcal journey, I was worried about this one. Not bad, but not great either. I feel like the Bourbon was overtaken by the Mezcal (Maker's Mark and Del Maguey San Luis del Rio respectively). Maybe a cask strength Bourbon. I also can't help but get some sort of industrial note in conjunction with the orgeat which can be a little off-putting.

Wow. This is amazing who would have thought to partner mezcal and bourbon. I didn’t have Orgeat but I used Monín Hazelnut instead - which was fabulous

It tastes as you would expect, which is no bad thing.
I used Monin Orgeat and would dial it back a touch to give the Bitters a bit of a chance.

To put it simply, its delicious! Two very characterful spirits mellowed by a touch of orgeat which creates almost velvety mouthfeel. I was a bit afraid that my mezcal would overpower the bourbon but I could still feel all the woody notes from it, definitely will try this drink again!
