I like a Jungle Bird but I have to agree with Mike Beatty, since I also preferred this drink for the same reasons, in fact I like to showcase the tropical note a little more by adding an extra 10ml or 1/3oz of pineapple juice, in exchange for 2.5ml or 1/12oz less simple syrup, might try adding 1 dash of aromatic bitters next time
