I made this with Bonal instead of sweet vermouth, and it was very good! Negroni-esque but with more prominent gin notes. Of course Bonal is French so I’m really making a mess of the namesake.
This is not a particularly exciting cocktail, but holds a special place in my heart as one of my first cocktail books was “The Stork Club Bar Book” which has a lot of color and editorializing.
