Made a batch for the wife and me. I skipped the chilled water in the above ratios but did a long shake and wifey was happy with the result. I garnished the same way I do with Last Word, Luxardo cherry with a 1/2 barspoon of syrup at the bottom of a well-chilled coupe. We are both gin and pisco appreciators and I must admit that I like the gin version, but only slightly more. I like the botanicals over the slight grassy funk of pisco.
I made this for the wife after she had had a Chartreuse-less Last Word version at a swanky bar. Wife approved. Definitely needed the saline drops to balance the sweetness.
