I liked it after an Argylle. I found that Maraschine and Southern Comfort relate well and that the Manhattan-style symmetry on one side with the Argylle on the other works just fine.
It is likely to be Slavonian rather than Slovenian oak. Slovenia is a country, while Slavonia is a region of Croatia well known for its high-quality, dense oak wood that was traditionally the material of choice for the Veneto master barrel builders. Traditional Barolo barrels were also built of Slavonian oak.
