Distilled in an Arnold Holstein 500 litre pot still. According to the back label, “Traditional juniper is in here but doesn’t dominate. Astute drinkers will appreciate the tropical scent of local gorse flowers, be cosseted by the sweetness of nutmeg and luxuriate in a hint of cubeb peppers.”

(sample bottle No. 134, batch No. 44) Crystal clear.
Black pepper, candied ginger and nutmeg spice with subdued juniper and faint floral scents.
Spicy and intense with powerful black pepper, piney juniper, nutmeg and pimento spice with light citrus.
Floral notes emerge in the long peppery spiced finish.
Spicy with pronounced black pepper and nutmeg. That spice, coupled with the high 47% alc./vol., means this gin is more suited to G&Ts than cocktails.
