Known as "The Cathedral of Rum", Bacardi's main rum distillery is close to Cataño, just outside San Juan in Puerto Rico. It is the largest rum distillery in the world producing around 85% of Bacardi's total rum production (the balance coming from the company's distilleries in Mexico and India).

The modern Casa Bacardi Visitor Center lies in the grounds of Bacardi's art deco Cathedral of Rum distillery in Cataño, just outside San Juan. A free instructive tour is offered with Bacardi cocktails served. There is also a well-stocked gift shop offering the Bacardi range of rums, branded clothing and accessories.

From San Juan, take Highway 22 west to the Cantaño exit, Road 165. The tall, distinctive 'Cathedral' distillery building is visible on the right about a mile from the exit on Road 165, Km 2.6, Int. 888, at the Bay View Industrial Park in Cantaño.
