Review

This tiny mid-parade converted pub has been gutted and revamped with crystal chandeliers and dark wooden panelled walls completing the transformation into cocktail lounge. The Four Sisters name is said to be the bars original 1930s moniker when the then pub was a front for the four 'sisters' in the brothel outback. Hence the present boudoir-like interior is appropriate.

The original bar remains, its well-worn wood adding to the homely feel of this cosy little bar. Beer fonts stand proud at the end of the counter but with one of the best cocktail menus we've ever seen brought to life by a couple of very talented bartenders, most people stick to cocktails rather than draught beer.

Cocktails are chalked-up on blackboards behind the bar but also presented in a menu resembling a broad-sheet newspaper, which unlike the news is a fabulous read with the story behind each cocktail relayed in well-written prose. The menu kicks off with the Barrel Aged Count Negroni and we recommend you start your Four Sisters experience by ordering one.
