This Boutique modernist bar, just of the lobby of the slick five-star Ohla Hotel is special due to its bartenders rather than its atmosphere or design, which if it wasn't for the incredible hospitality would be a little like drinking in a mini Ikea showroom. However, the quality of the drinks, food and service more than make up for this.
This lounge bar boasts not one but two World Class finalist bartenders: manager Giuseppe Santamaria and Spain's 2014 winner Giacomo Giannotti. Their cocktails are innovative and beautifully garnished - each presented with the care of a Michelin 3-star chef - appropriately so as the tapas offered by the bar comes courtesy of the hotel's Michelin-star-winning Xavier Franco from the hotel's Ohla Gastrobar.
Formerly a department store and before that the palace of the First Prince of Barcelona, this upmarket hotel occupies a very grand building smack in the centre of town. It has not only been modernised, it has been given a modernist makeover - including its exterior being covered in eye balls which gaze out from the building on stalks. Head up to the 8th floor poolside rooftop bar for some of the best views in the city.
