Tandem Cocktail Bar

This narrow fronted classic cocktail bar is no wider than a one car garage, its varnished dark wooden bar stretching far back, with shelves groaning with bottles its full length.

There's a vast selection of whiskies, rums and gins with other spirit categories also well represented. The Tandem name could well be a reference to this long bar being manned by two bartenders, one stationed at either side of the long bar. Mirrors break up the monotony of the dark wood panelled wall opposite the bar counter.

Tandem is very old school with bartenders in white dinner jackets and black ties, but young couples and groups sit amongst the middle-aged and older single men that puff on cigarettes over their gin or whisky. The atmosphere is thick with the murmur of conversation untainted by music.
