El Xampanyet has been run by the same family since the 1930s. It has the feel of an establishment that has taken the best aspects of Spanish food and drink from the past 80 years, and incorporated it into one super menu.

This is a great place to begin a night, grazing on some fresh anchovies in vinegar or impressively fat green olives at the marble tables or zinc bar counter.
