Review

Lost Angel is a pimped-up old boozer that occupies the space formally taken by Dusk. It's still got some of that boozer vibe, in as much as it's a relaxed, welcoming neighbourhood joint, but it's just as much a place for a pint of real ale as a Martini. It has its tongue firmly in its cheek in terms of the decor - a London phone box, an illuminated picture of Her Majesty, lights made from old trumpets and assorted bric-a-brac adorn the walls, with mannequin legs sticking out of a suitcase.

International bottled beers from as far afield as Thailand, Sweden and Brazil complement homegrown bottle-conditioned ales and there's a changing selection of draught brews too. Cocktails are served from behind an island bar, from a long list that is dominated by sweet and fruity white spirit-led drinks but which also contains a few hidden gems - bringing mezcal, chilli-infused tequila and stirred brown drinks into the mix.
