The Tiepolo bar is set in a five-star luxury hotel lavished with marbles of all colours, most noticeably a glorious harlequin floored lobby. At the end of a wide corridor beyond the lobby lies this bar, which combines splendour with warm lighting to produce an implausibly cosy feel.

In the summer the Grand Canal terrace is a wonderful spot to enjoy the mostly classic cocktails. Of the many Martini-style drinks, we recommend the 'Shining Martini', made with gin, China Martini and Grand Marnier, garnished with gold cake dust - this after-dinner drink may look a tad bling but tastes great, as do all the classics we've tried here.

In common with the other Venetian hotels in the same group, the Tiepolo's wine list is something of a let down compared to far lesser establishments in town.
