Talisker was sold as an 8 year old single malt until 1989 when the 10 year old was realised as one of the Classic Malts. Talisker 10 year old is aged predominantly in ex-American whiskey hogsheads.

Appearance:

Clear, bright golden amber.

Aroma:

Smoky pencil shavings, seaweed and green apple with slight baked banana.

Taste:

Smoked spinach, kipper and green apple with light sweetness, sea salt and peppery spice.

Aftertaste:

Long, lingering smoky malt and cracked black pepper.

Overall:

Elegantly smoky and salty with balancing sweet maltiness and attractive meatiness.
