This agricole rum from Martinique is distilled from sugar cane juice using a column still and is rested for three months in huge wooden tuns before being reduced to bottling strength with spring water and bottled on the Trois Rivières estate.

Appearance:
Crystal clear.
Aroma:
Pungent, fruity and slightly funky with yeasty notes, peppery spice, and faint lavender.
Taste:
Flavours of salty sugar cane and faint floral notes. Despite the spirituous spice from the high alc./vol. this is surprisingly mellow on the palate.
Aftertaste:
Long, sweet black and white pepper finish.
Overall:
A very good example of a traditional rhum blanc from Martinique at our preferred 50% alc./vol strength.
