See more Belgium strong pale ales
Launched in 1986, Judas is a strong blond pale ale produced by one of the larger Belgian breweries, Brouwerij Alken-Maes now owned by Heineken. It is brewed using Bohemian hops and after bottling is fermented a second time and left to mature in the cellar for an extended period.
Sampled on 09/09/2012
(best before 10-Jan-13) Slightly hazy, pale orange golden with two finger white head depositing heavy lacing.
Yeasty brown sugar with faint coriander and overripe pineapple.
Slight sweetness smooths the alcohol attach on the bready malty palate, with light honeyed spice and tart fruit.
Bready malt with lingering light spice. Reminiscent of Duvel.
