Review and Tasting

Sampled on 05/08/2015

Appearance:

Clear, deep coppery amber

Aroma:

Old woody leather, vanilla, battenberg cake and coal tar with dried fruits, green apple skin and faint toasted hazelnuts.

Taste:

Woody tannins and dry roasted nuts with vanilla, cinnamon and red pepper corn spice.

Aftertaste:

Oaky tannins and spice with long lingering oaky popcorn and peanuts.

Overall:

Woody leather, vanilla, battenberg cake and coal tar with dried fruits. However, spicy woody notes slightly overwhelm distillery character.
