Review and Tasting

Sampled on 22/11/2013

Appearance:

Clear, coppery amber.

Aroma:

Butter shortcake, bready malt, banoffee pie, Port-like vinous notes and cinnamon. Water realises more toasty aromas, cream-of-soda vanilla, honeycomb and ripe lime with warm clove, heather and ginger spice.

Taste:

Full-bodied and buttery with golden syrup, burnt toast, figs, cinnamon and nutmeg spice. Slightly sweet wine-like notes continue with rich honey balancing citrus fruitiness.

Aftertaste:

Fudge and burnt toast with honey sweetened oaky wine, gentle light white pepper and cinnamon spice. This blend likes hydration – add a generous splash rather than a dash.
