Flavoured with 25 botanicals including berries, spices, fruit and flowers, infused in 45% neutral alcohol for 40 days. This is filtered and blended with DOGC Asti Muscat and DOGC Caluso Erbaluce wines and cask aged for three to six months.
Literally fit for a king, Riserva Carlo Alberto vermouths are said to originate from a recipe made for King Carlo Alberto (1831 to 1849), the King of the small state of Piedmont-Sardinia in the House of Savoy in 1837. The regal recipe passed to a vintner, Tumalin Baracco Bartolomé de Baracho, who named the vermouth after the king and started commercial production.
