Fee Brothers have combined robust Blackstrap molasses with nutmeg and coffee to create what they describe as a "historical Caribbean taste". These bitters are based on glycerin. Consider using in tropical cocktails and cocktails based on heavy dark rums.

Ingredients
Water, glycerin, natural molasses flavour (flavour, propylene glycol), other natural extracts and flavours (water, alcohol, propylene gycol, flavours), citric acid.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 21/06/2015

Appearance:

Hazy, deep coppery amber.

Aroma:

Smoked cola, burnt toast, chicory coffee and cinnamon.

Taste:

Bittersweet with brown sugar-like notes rather than out-and-out bitter. The cola notes from the nose continue with zesty orange, burnt molasses, spice (cinnamon and nutmeg) and very dry heavily roasted chicory coffee.

Aftertaste:

Cola Cube chews, cinnamon and nutmeg spice with dry burnt molasses and burnt coffee.

Overall:

Blackstrap molasses, chicory coffee and cinnamon flavour these punchy, although not so bitter, bitters.
