Named after the Old Norse for ‘glittering bright skies’ and distilled using Scapa’s barrel-shaped Lomond wash still, this Orkney Island malt was aged in first fill American oak casks. Released September 2015.

Appearance:
Clear, golden amber.
Aroma:
Cherry, blackberry and ripe honeydew melon flesh with honey, toasty oak, vanilla, biscuit and mild spice.
Taste:
Salty, biscuity and bready with ripe pear and melon, cream of soda vanilla, mild spice (nutmeg, black pepper and clove) and toasty oak.
Aftertaste:
Salty leather, nutmeg and vanilla with lingering sweet crispy seaweed.
Overall:
Beautifully balanced bready, fruity and salty with subtle spice and faint seaweed.
