DAB lager takes its name from initials of the brewery in the City of Dortmund, Germany where it is produced. The Dortmunder Actien-Brauerei brewery was founded in 1868 by two entrepreneurs, Laurenz Fischer and Heinrich and Friedrich Mauritz, along with a brewer named Heinrich Herberz.
Aroma:
Straw/grass, yeasty bread.
Taste:
Dry, clean, crisp and slightly malty with a hint of lemon bitterness.
Aftertaste:
A tad on the bland side but with no bad notes.
