Review and Tasting

Sampled on 07/06/2019

Appearance:

Hazy amber.

Aroma:

Floral and citrusy with subtle vanilla and gentian.

Taste:

Bittersweet with tart citrus and bitter gentian balancing sweet honeyed floral notes. Everleaf’s thick mouthfeel is very noticeable and appealing.

Aftertaste:

Bittersweet citrus and floral finish.

Overall:

Unlike so many other “spirit alternatives”, I respect Everleaf for its honesty – no mention of “spirit” and the words “non-alcoholic” topping the label. Make no mistake, Everleaf is a cordial so not designed to be drunk neat. Mixed 1 part Everleaf to 2 parts soda over ice with an orange wedge, as recommended, makes for a refreshing bittersweet, citrusy and floral long drink. However, personally I prefer equal parts Everleaf, soda and tonic water.
