Xaymaca Special Dry is a blend of rums distilled in the vintage John Dore pot still at Long Pond Distillery and the Vendôme pot still at Clarendon Distillery - both in Jamaica.

Aged 1-3 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks in Jamaica followed by 1 year in cognac seasoned French oak casks in France.

Appearance:

Clear,mid-deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Pungent with buttery pastry, vanilla and ripe tropical fruit – baked banana, pineapple and zesty orange. Very faint wisps of smoke.

Taste:

Full-bodied and dry. Ripe pear muscles its way into tropical fruitiness with pot still peppery spirituous spice.

Aftertaste:

Pot still spice lingers with mellowing vanilla and buttery pastry. Faint lingering smokiness.

Overall:

A huge rum loaded with character, yet despite assertive pot still spice, with pleasing mellowing vanilla and buttery pastry.
