Cotswolds Hearts & Crafts Sauternes Cask Single Malt Released on St George's Day 2020, this is the first in a series of single malts from The Cotswolds Distillery inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement. It is the first European Oak Cask expression from the distillery.

This first of what will be annual editions, each presented in a gift box with a different William Morris pattern, reinforcing the creative beauty of the Arts & Crafts Movement.

The editions will not be repeated, and Cotswolds Hearts & Crafts Sauternes Cask release is limited to just 1,680 bottles. It is vatted from a selection of five French Oak casks seasoned with sweet Sauternes wine.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Biscuity toasted malted barley with faint linseed and fruity hints of peach and ripe pear. Water amplifies fruit.

Taste:

Toasty spiced oak with cream-of-soda vanilla, clove spice, zesty citrus and charcoal, eased by hints rich honey sweetness.

Aftertaste:

Long toasty oak finish with assertive spice and delicate fruit.

Overall:

Young toasty oak with clove spice is mellowed by cream-of-soda vanilla and honeyed sweetness and hints of orchard fruit.
