Not just salty water but saline solution made with Maldon natural sea salt blended with spring water and then filtered prior to bottling and hand-labeling. Add 2 drops to season a cocktail using the pipette dropper incorporated into the bottle's screwtop.
NaCl is the chemical formula for Sodium Chloride, commonly known as salt, representing a 1:1 ratio of sodium and chloride ions. It makes an appropriate lable for our saline solution but as the Malden sea salt, we use also contains other chemical salts our solution is quite as simple as NaCl.
Folk have asked what ratio of water to salt Bob uses we use to make our saline solution but, as with our bitters, that's Bob's secret.
Sampled before 1st May 2011
Crystal clear.
Neutral.
Very salty!
Long lingering saltiness.
Two drops season a cocktail and in place of a half pinch of salt. The already dissolved solution is more accurate so aids in serving consistant cocktails.
