Atlantico is a blend of molasses and fresh cane juice based rums separately aged for 2-3 years before blending together for a further 2 years. The blend is then moved to a solera system where it is aged for up to 15 years. Prior to bottling a small amount of unaged aguardiente is added to the blend.

Each bottle is initialled and hand-numbered.

Enrique Iglesias has a share in the brand.

Appearance:

(sample bottle No. B2-3,900-BLAA) Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Vanilla, vanilla ice-cream, caramel, fruity boiled sweets, peach melba and maple syrup.

Taste:

Starts sweet and fruity with pronounced vanilla ice-cream and caramel. More subtle boiled sweets, apricot jam, cinnamon and hot pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Apricot jam, vanilla and black pepper spice.
