This South African gin is based on grape neutral spirit re-distilled with nine botanicals: juniper berries, cardamom, aniseed, coriander, rooibos, almond, Kalahari truffle, Honeybush, lemon.

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Cardamom, rooibos, truffle and aniseed with piney juniper. A splash of water amplifies cardamom spice.

Taste:

Assertive cardamom and aniseed are tamed by rooibos. Subdued piney juniper and coriander.

Aftertaste:

Cardamom and black pepper spice with aniseed, juniper and rooibos.

Overall:

Kalahari truffle is the headline botanical in this South African gin but this is overwhelmed by cardamom and aniseed spice. Pleasing notes of rooibos help pull this very distinctly South African gin together.
