Review and Tasting

Sampled on 09/12/2013

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Honey, cedarwood, chocolate éclair and mild cinnamon. A splash of water reveals butterscotch, vanilla, dried fruit and linseed oil.

Taste:

Even at full strength this honeyed malt is meek and mild with butterscotch, pastry, fudge and white pepper. A splash of water amplifies the white pepper to the detriment of the butterscotch, but the pepper sits brilliantly with vanilla fudge, dried fruit and maple syrup.

Aftertaste:

Long spiced vanilla fudge with faint eucalyptus freshness.
