Review and Tasting

Sampled on 15/02/2016

Appearance:

(sample DL REF 11009) Clear, deep coppery amber.

Aroma:

Muscovado sugar, molasses, green apple and fresh apricot with lemon citrus zest and white pepper spice. More Muscovado sugar and vanilla with water.

Taste:

Apple cider, backed apple, cinnamon, pencil shaving oak, liquorice and barley water. Overly dry and oaky with water.

Aftertaste:

Fades with dry pencil shaving oak and crushed mint leaves.

Overall:

Perhaps a tad over matured with notes of apple and barley sugar dominated by pencil shaving-like dry oak and lightly bitter crushed mint leaves.
