60 gram	Watermelon (fresh) (chopped wedges)
2 fl oz	Ketel One Vodka
¹⁄₃ fl oz	Strucchi Bianco Vermouth (chilled)
¹⁄₃ fl oz	Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water) 65.0°Brix
1 dash	Peychaud's or other Creole-style bitters

How to make

Prepare

Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.
Prepare garnish of skewered watermelon cube.

Method

MUDDLE 60g / 2.1oz watermelon flesh (removed from skin and chopped) in base of shaker.
Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Vodka-laced, fruity watermelon with delicate herbal complexity. It might be fruity, but with its vermouth notes, this cocktail remains dry and spirit-forward enough to justify the "Vodkatini" name.

Nicely melony flavour, the taste perfectly balanced. But muddling the melon pieces is strenuous, and the aroma is rather on the delicate side, so I don't think I'm going to mix this very often.
