The flagship brand of Mount Gay, originally launched and named after the 1910 concurrence of a total solar eclipse and the passage of Halley's comet. Distilled from molasses using both column and pot still rums. These two different distillates are blended before maturation in ex-bourbon barrels.

Όψη:

Clear, golden amber.

Μύτη:

Pungent, creamy vanilla/toffee and dried apricot with aggressive black pepper, faint peppermint and citrus.

Στόμα:

Dry palate with flavours of black pepper, caramel and butterscotch predominating over citrus zest, cooked fruit, vanilla, ginger and spearmint.

Επίγευση:

Bitter toffee and citrus linger on the dry finish with faint smokiness.
