Unlike many other pre-mixed margaritas, this Sierra product is sweetened with agave syrup with no added sugar. The bottle declares the addition of "colourant and preservatives" and claims to be that "100% of the alcohol content is Tequila" - we'd guess that's mixto rather than 100% agave.

Sierra is one of the largest brands of tequila in Europe and its packaging is distinguished by a plastic sombrero hat covering the screw cap of each bottle.

Appearance:

Cloudy, milky yellow.

Aroma:

Whilst not unpleasant, perhaps more reminiscent of some kind of citrus based bathroom cleaning product with little or no discernable tequila aromas.

Taste:

Surprisingly well balanced and far from overly sweet with citrus sourness squared with agave sweetness. Tequila notes are indeed present but not entirely convincing.

Aftertaste:

Citrusy with mouthwash-like freshness.
