Leopold Bros. say their Maraschino Liqueur is “pot distilled from two types of fermented cherries: Marasca and Montmorency. The resulting two cherry brandies are blended together with distilled coriander and a small amount of honey.”

Appearance:

(sample batch 1305) Clear, pale straw yellow.

Aroma:

Brown bread, ripe peach, cherry, apple blossom and lime zest.

Taste:

Stewed apple fruit, citrus acidity, amaretto and maraschino cherry.

Aftertaste:

Citrus acidity, leather, cinnamon spice and plum jam.
