Introduced in 1980 and launched in the UK in 2007, this rosé style of Martini is the only expression in the Martini range to be made from white and red wines: its introduction was intended to capitalise on the then new vogue for rosé table wines.

Rosato is based on a blend of white and red wines which naturally give this vermouth its rose-coloured hue. In truth, the blend of each 200,000 litre batch has to be adjusted to achieve a consistent colour. A particularly delicate infusion process is used to create a soft-toned, perfumed spiced style. The botanicals used in the infusion include Madagascan cloves, Sri Lankan cinnamonand nutmeg with the lighter aromatics of raspberry and lemon. Best served over ice with a slice of orange.

Appearance:

Clear, reddy-pink.

Aroma:

Reminiscent of mulled wine with clove, cinnamon, aniseed, black pepper, floral rose and dried herbal aromas.

Bittersweet and fruity with clove and cinnamon. Bitter zesty orange, rich raspberry and delicate floral notes.

Aftertaste:

Bitter-sweet with clack pepper and cinnamon spice. Subtle berry fruit and floral notes.

Overall:

Berry fruity, floral and citrusy with underlaying herbal bitterness and enlivening herbal spice.
