Distilled in St Lucia and initially aged for ten years in bourbon barrels in the Caribbean, this 2003 vintage rum was decanted into French oak ex-cognac casks for a further 18 months aging in the cool cellars of Château Bonbonnet in Ars, Cognac.

Clear, golden amber.
Pungent and estery. Currants, pear drops and dried apricots with chamois leather, buttery tobacco leaves with Christmassy spices and faint wisps of smoke.
Medium to full-bodied and very slightly sweet. Vanilla, fruit cake, dried fruit, prunes and overripe banana with tobacco, roasted almond and elegant spice.
Leather, vanilla, tobacco leaves, sweet raisins and nutmeg.
