Made with hand-prepared fresh kumquats macerated in alcohol and as liqueurs go, a very low amount of sugar, Fortunella was created by Lukas Stafin, a London-based bartender, who teamed up with Dariusz Plazewski at London’s Bimber Distillery to bring his dream liqueur to life to launch in 2019.

Clear, bright golden amber.
Pungent and fragrant zesty kumquat with faint lemon and vanilla.
Unctuous kumquat fruit and zesty orange oils with creamy vanilla softness. Rich but not at all overly sweet with balancing black pepper spirituous spice.

Fortunella’s squat bottle looks the part, suggesting oriental origins. That may be where the kumquats come from, but this beautifully balanced, soft, moreish liqueur is made in London.
