A lime based liqueur produced to a recipe created by Georges Monin, who founded the company of the same name in 1912. He distilled this liqueur from wild lime peels with spices and tropical plants.

Clear, pale golden.
Zesty lime and lime cordial-like with a hint of cinnamon, cardamon and white pepper spice.
Slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Lime zest citrus sourness and acidity balances honeyed sweetness with enlivening spice, and almost aniseed/minty freshness.
Sweet and sour zesty lime and spice finish.
Now better-known for syrups, this spicy lime liqueur is the "Original" product by Monin. It cries out for use in a Gimlet.
Monin Pure Cane sugar syrup has 85.6g of cane sugar per litre, or more scientifically 65.1°Brix.
