Review and Tasting

Sampled on 11/01/2014

Appearance:

(sample bottle No. 13/00003) Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Spicy sandalwood, pencil shavings and vanilla fudge with honey coated barley, leather satchel and walnut. Water releases more nutty sherry notes.

Taste:

Slightly sweet, honeyed cereal, toasty barley, nutmeg and pot still peppery spice. Very enjoyable at the full 55% but water tames without degrading, exposing more nutty sherry and caramel with elegant oak binding all.

Aftertaste:

The long finish is a delightful continuation of the palate.
